Scott MacKay:
Audiologist Scott MacKay
Scott MacKay was born and raised in Hebbville, Nova Scotia. In the 1970s, he left for six years to train at Dalhousie University and became an audiologist.
He spent almost 32 years employed with Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech Centres, much of this time based in Bridgewater's South Shore Regional Hospital.
His years of dealing with the public strengthened his desire to work in a position where he could follow the client from the initial testing through counseling to hearing aid fitting and beyond as necessary, selling only as much technology as the client's lifestyle and loss needed, at a more affordable price than usual!
Scott is a registered member of both the national licensing body (CASPLA) as well as the provincial body (SHANS).
Scott's wife Pauline was born and raised in LaHave, Nova Scotia. She has worked with the public as an employee of a fire-and-flood restoration company. Today she is behind-the-scenes helping Hearwell Inc. with inventory, ordering and scheduling.
Scott and Pauline have three children. Kristen recently moved to Hebbville from PEI and is now a full-time employee of Hearwell Inc. Jennie is married to Nathan Freeman and lives in Pine Grove, with their boys, Carter and Cooper. Matt also lives in Hebbville with his two daughters, Layla and Hannah, and their mother, Haley.
When Scott's mom passed away, he decided the time had arrived to follow his dream. He purchased his childhood home at 147 Century Drive in Hebbville. After many renovations, Hearwell Hearing Aid Solutions Inc. was open for business.
